spring Break beachEach year, thousands flock to the sunshine state to escape the cold and enjoy the warm sun on one of their amazing beaches. College students from across the country fly down to join their fellow Spring Breakers on the shores for days of partying. Florida is full of beaches, but only one that is the #1 Spring Break beach in Florida.

Fort Lauderdale Beach was named the #2 Spring Break destination in 2018 (behind Cancun). This college-budget friendly beach has been hosting hundreds of thousands on their Spring Break beach since the 1950’s! By day, thousands gravitate to the warm beaches along A1A. Grab a cooler and hit the liquor store that is walking distance from the biggest Spring Break beach party anywhere. Students from different schools all gather on the public beach to enjoy their days partying and soaking up the Florida sun! Across the street from the shore, open air venues like Rock Bar and Elbo Room are jammed throughout the day with Spring Break food and drink specials.

If you’re not already convinced, here is why Fort Lauderdale has the best Spring Break Beach:

    1. The Weather

While most of Florida records some of the hottest weather daily in the USA, not every beach is going to have the warmest temperatures. During the month of March, Spring Break beaches like Daytona and Panama City can be as low as 50’s! Not the Spring Break weather students from northern states are looking for! Fort Lauderdale’s southern location keeps temperatures in the 80’s daily, making for the perfect bathing suit and cold beer weather!

    2. The Water

If you’re looking for crystal blue waters, beautiful shady palm trees, and soft white sands, you’ll be happy to hear you don’t have to travel to a foreign place for it! Being less than 200 miles from the Bahamas and sharing an ocean with the islands makes Fort Lauderdale feel like a tropical getaway. Your Instagram followers will barely believe you’re actually still in the USA!

    3. The Wild Parties

From sunrise past sunset, Fort Lauderdale is a Spring Breakers paradise. Since the 1950’s this Spring Break beach town has prepared for an influx of students during the month of March and takes precautions to ensure everyone has a fun (and safe) time. Throngs of Spring Breakers gather to the beach between Las Olas Blvd and Elbo Room bar to enjoy the hot sun and party all day long on the beach. The beach closes at 6 PM which gives Spring Breakers the perfect amount of time to grab some dinner and make their way back to their hotels for a quick power nap before they head downtown to clubs like America’s Backyard and Sway Nightclub. Party and dance the night away until 4 AM!
