Spring Break in Nassau, Bahamas

Located just off the southern tip of Florida, The Bahamas consist of over 700 islands, offering miles of white sand beaches surrounding small slivers of land. The city of Nassau, on New Providence Island, is the heart and capital of The Bahamas. The island, once a busy center for piracy, is now home to old fortresses, resort areas, Spring Breakers in March, and too many gorgeous beaches to count.

Why Nassau for Spring Break?

Top 5 Reasons to Go to Nassau!

  1. Try your luck at the 2 largest casinos in the Caribbean.
  2. Sunbathe at Paradise Islands Cabbage Beach and swim in the crystal clear waters
  3. Snorkel on Daytime Cruises and Party All Night on the Moonlight Cruises
  4. Take Advantage of Great Shopping and Restaurants on World famous Bay Street
  5. Experience Popular Nightclubs like Waterloo, Charlies, Senor Frogs and Cocktails and Dreams

There are two kinds of beaches in The Bahamas. Cable Beach, one of the largest resort areas in Nassau, is the first type of beach, offering luxury hotels, casinos and any service and water sport that you can think of. The second type is a deserted beach where you will find nothing but clear blue water, soft white sand and sunshine as far as the eye can see. This is where you can retreat from the stresses of life.

The bars of The Bahamas pride themselves on designing their own special recipes for rum punches, maybe because of The Bahamas' history of rum smuggling. There are two casinos, Wyndham Crystal Palace in Cable Beach and The Atlantis on Paradise Island. The nightclubs don't really get started until after 11pm, so pass the early evening hours recovering from your day on the beach in the cool casinos, and then hit the clubs.

The main clubs in Nassau are Sr Frogs, Charlies, Cocktails and Dreams and The Waterloo. Make sure you go to the featured nights of the major tour operators to avoid heavy cover charges!
